Ashima Founder of Dreami

Why we built Dreami

My name, Ashima, means "limitless" in Sanskrit. However, I've realized that I can't achieve limitlessness without the guidance of mentors.
After attempting to seek out mentors without success, I recognized how challenging it is to organically find the career guidance one deserves. While entrepreneurship was never in my 10-year career plan, Iā€™ve learned very quickly that I had a clear obsession and passion in building a better tomorrow.
After hundreds of discovery calls, it became increasingly clear how access to critical workforce development resources can be inequitable. In the U.S., 36 million people face employment barriers, creating a significant skills gap. Nonprofits, universities, and workforce programs receive funding but lack tech-driven scalable tools to close this gap.
The idea struck me during a backpacking trip: to build a solution that makes career guidance equitable and scalable. I founded Dreami to bridge talent to opportunities via a data-driven and effective career development software platform. I embarked on this journey to prove to myself my limitless potential. Now, I am on a mission to prove that together, we are limitless.
